Happy 2010!

Well the end of 2009 has come and gone... along with my drive to do anything productive (except for reading the trueblood book series lol) But here I am sitting next to my 20 month old son.... watching Finding Nemo.... his absolute obsession right now. He wants to watch it everyday and if he cant he throws a screaming crying fit!

We had a great trip to NC over Christmas break, spending some much needed time with Mimi and Uncle Z and Uncle Clay! We got Lincolns professional pictures taken, we went to jumpin beans, we even visited the beach and aquarium! Lincolns vocab has improved TONS! He is a little blabber mouth repeating everything we say! He always says, "Wheres daddy" "daddy at wooowrk" and he sings lady gagas song "paparazzi" and its so cute and hilarious, i have to get it on video! Ill post some pictures of Christmas soon but for now Im going to post a few of Lincolns professional pictures he just got taken, they turned out great! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This Thanksgiving has been so super wonderful! Im thankful to be in NC and to spend it with family! I think we got to give someone one of the coolest thanksgivings ever..... someone who has been dyeing to meet Lincoln and didnt get a chance to until this year! It made our day to see you too! We had some wonderful food with Zacks Moms family. I spend black friday in boone, nc, which I love more than anything! Ill post pics of all that later, but for now.... here is what im thankful for this thanksgiving holiday season...............

Nightmares!!!!

Lately Lincoln has been waking to nightmares in the middle of the night. At least that is what I think they are!! It really scares me, he wakes up screaming and shaking. I spent two hours in the middle of the night with him the other night because he wouldnt let me put him down!! Poor guy! Makes me sad. We went out and bought a night light, hopefully that will make a difference. I think he has had enough of scary Halloween stuff running around!!!!!!!

P.s.... As you can see I havent blogged in about a month!!! Ive been so busy trying to keep up with school and spend some fun time with my family and enjoying my favorite season! I hope I keep up with this better. I cant believe my baby boy is 18 months old! WOW. He is just so fun right now playing and getting into everything, running around throwing things everywhere and just being a boy! SO FUN!

Family time!

This past weekend Lincoln got to spend some much needed time with family that lives down in NC. He especially got to see alot of his grandpa, who doesnt get to see him very often, so it was so nice! He spent some time with his Mimi(grandma), aunt Nana, uncle Z and Uncle Clay, Great grandma and pa Zimpfer and Great Aunt Pam and Family! We wish we could have seen them more but we had a great time camping, and going to a wedding! Here is some pics of Lincoln spending time with our family!!!

What could be better than a baby sleeping?

I thought I would go back and look through some videos I had... here are some of Lincoln through the past year and 4 months, doing what he does best, SLEEPING!!!


Here LA is about 6 weeks old... he used to always sleep with his eyes partially open! He still does it sometimes. We are waiting in the backseat of the car here.

Love this one!!! His little perfect precious twitches and smiling while he sleeps! He is about 4 months old. The music is by tool... its a lullaby remake. :)





Listen closely!!!! Lincoln is really snoring it up!! LA is about 10 months here. Was still sleeping in his infant car seat! Boy do I miss those days haha. He def takes after his dada with all that racket though.






Here is LA at about 13 and a half months, it is the most recent video I have of him sleeping, since he now sleeps in his crib all night and is such a light sleeper! Here we are at the mall waiting for some ppl to finish their shopping. He is really conked out. I was just sitting there admiring my beautiful sleeping boy!

Rotton to the core!!!

Ok, I might be exaggerating here a little bit. But lately it seems like the rotton temper tantrums that my little toddler is throwing are outnumbering the fun smiling times. Its rough!!! He has always been so fun and happy and lovey! But the past few weeks for the most part... well... its a little bit like this:

Whew. What do I do?? I play with him and give him abundant hugs and kisses. I feel like there is a root to this problem, or maybe its just that he is starting to discover the new feelings of anger and frustration. But I feel like he doesnt want me around alot. I know it sounds silly about a little 15 month old. But he tries to bite me all the time. He hits his hands at my face and says "dont" (sounds more like "dow" and its so cute). He also says that when we are trying to feed him or do anything he doesnt want to do. I just dont want him to grow into being one of those mean boys you see running around pushing and being mean to people on the playground!!


Anyone have any good suggestions for me?? Im stuck on this one


Feeling a little bit frustrated myself,

Thumping my feet on the ground.

And no. I wasnt throwing a fit (this time). I went running last night. It was such a mix of emotions! It hurt in my chest, but oh did it bring back memories, and feelings of empowerment. I want to do it again as soon as I can. It was just ME all alone running around the block, and I actually got to think with peace and quiet. I cant wait to thump my feet on the ground again. hehe.




(p.s. you know your a mommy when: you can still smell the desitin on your hands while your running :))

Feeling a little.... blissful!!!!

We just put our son to bed. It was like something out of a movie... Just a perfect moment that I wish I could remember forever. I am in love with these two guys in my life... my son and my hubby. They make everything complete.
We just played for like 30 minutes together in his room, in the ball pit and attacking him with kisses. Then we read a few bedtime stories, laughing and reading together. It was just perfect. I am worried about when school starts!! I wont be able to see Lincoln hardly at all! Oh it makes me so sad. I know I will be "bettering" myself by getting through school, but for now it doesnt seem worth it to loose that time with my son! I can do this, I know I have to, cause in the long run it will make things better. But for now I will just complain about it :)
